Diana Polenova / Films/ Soundtracks
|
...Recording soundtracks for the films was always one of the favorite things to do... an interesting and fascinating process of creating the musical image of the film, giving to the action on the screen a very special atmosphere... Sometimes it happens, when the music gets its own destiny afterwards: people remember and listen to it, a song or just a melody becomes a part of someone`s life...and it`s the best award then...
It`s a big pleasure and pride for me to present here some of the best musical works for cinema: |

The beautiful music for this film was written by the famous Russian composer Alexey Rybnikov, and it plays a big part in the whole story... music is everywhere: in dramatic and comic moments, emphasizing the most critical culminations and showing the hidden feelings...the main melodies are following the heroes all the time, changing in according to their emotional state...
A big team worked at the soundtrack: all songs were recorded at the "Mosfilm" music studios and Alexey Rybnikov`s studio by singers of "A`cappella ExpreSSS" vocal group: Diana Polenova, Eteri Beriashvili and Max Kostra. Musical editor: Konstantin Shevelev.
Songs in the film:
- romance-song "Оh, life with no tomorrow " recorded by Diana Polenova is the main character`s image full-opening...(the song has won the special prize at the "Kinotavr" cinema festival 2003 for "The best original movie-song").
- "La Vie ensemble" - the duet with french lyrics, recorded by Eteri Beriashvili and Max Kostra, became popular within film-lovers and now has its own fans...

The soundtrack for the film was recorded at the legendary "Mosfilm Studio", which is remarkable for its special atmosphere...
That was a great experience of accomplishing an interesting but difficult task - to show the main hero`s autoderision in dramatic circumstances of the situation...to show it with music but no instruments, only using voices...We`ve had a lot of fun, immitating instrumental sounds, disfiguring the main melody in according to hero`s sceptical thoughts...
Interesting work, good film, memorizing music... |
